This Japanese manufactured trigger guard has been professionally modified and is now for the Type 99 Arisaka bolt action rifle in 7.7 caliber with an aftermarket sporter style stock and is in good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina with some rust spots and light wear. (file photo)
